Data Scapes

Data Scapes emerged from two simple words that unlocked a layered question: what does a digital landscape look like?

In a world increasingly shaped by data — from our clicks and swipes to our most intimate digital footprints — we collectively build vast, invisible terrains. These aren’t places we can walk through or touch, yet they exist: complex, ever-shifting architectures of information, memory, and algorithm. Data Scape is a visual exploration of these unseen environments — an attempt to give form to the intangible.

Through screen printing, the series explores repetition, layering, and disruption — processes that mirror how digital systems operate. Patterns are built up and broken down; images shift from clarity to distortion. The physicality of ink and mesh becomes a tool for mapping the immaterial. Glitches, noise, and interference take on a visual presence, becoming a kind of topography. Silence is as present as signal.

This series invites viewers to consider the landscapes we inhabit without realizing it — the coded realms we help build and leave traces in, even when we’re no longer looking.
